ABOUT THE GRANTEE

The Delta State University Archives supports the teaching, research, and public service activities of the University by collecting, preserving, and making accessible collections that document the history and culture of Delta State University and the Mississippi region.

This proposal also builds upon the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan to improve cultural competency and meets this goal by providing students and the community at large with the opportunity to engage in primary and secondary source materials displayed in a consumable way as to enlighten and entertain. While the proposal focused on two specific museums, one on Delta State’s campus and one within the Cleveland community, each museum attracts visitors from across the nation and around the world.
