Purpose:  The Academy will select 15 local high school students who will advance their understanding and appreciation of the Delta’s cultural heritage through filmmaking.  They will be engaged in a classroom setting about issue of race and injustice in the Delta’s history, then go out into the community to create their own video narratives that preserve and document their history, experiences and challenges.
